The Minuchin Center for the Family, founded on the philosophy and work of Salvador Minuchin, MD, endeavors to foster the development of strength-based family systems approaches in a variety of clinical and social service settings.
The Center provides training in structural family therapy and consultation to practitioners and human service organizations working with underserved populations, such as families struggling with issues of chemical dependency, and families marginalized due to racism, socio-economic conditions and/or sexual orientation. In 2003, the Minuchin Center for the Family was licensed by the New York State Education Departament, and granted status as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit institution. |
