The Minuchin Center for the Family is a non profit training and consultation organization dedicated to the development and dissemination of Structural Family Therapy, and its implementation to empower families and the agencies and practitioners who serve them.
Continuing the work that Dr. Salvador Minuchin began over 50 years ago at the Wiltwyck School for Boys and developed further at the Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic and the Family Studies Institute in New York, the Center teaches the concepts and techniques of structural family therapy to mental health practitioners, and consults with organizations that work with families challenged by poverty, racism, and discrimination due to gender or sexual orientation.
